Facing Information Overload

Stop your endless swimming and overdosing by information. We all know that the modern technology-based world is a raging information geyser. Every minute, thousands and probably millions of new data and information flow into inboxes and desktops of online marketers globally — all with the intent of offering end-users with new insights and ideas on boosting internet marketing techniques.

However, instead of learning what we get is simply an information overload. This leads us to the logical question: How much bits of information can an ordinary person really take up from day to day and more importantly how much of that information do we really need in the first place?

So how do we deal with this seemingly blockage? One of the first things I recommended to anybody who wants to combat information overload is to take time to things easy and decide on the information he actually need. Most of the torrents of information available on the net are information you don’t actually need to have.

Let me illustrate. I once subscribed to 20 different blogs involved in affiliate marketing but I evaluated what I got from those blogs each day and the hours I was spending just to read posts. Then I realized that the time I spent should have been focused on implementing the techniques I’ve already learned.

How to effectively evaluate the value of information? The best way to gauge the value of the information you fetch in is in its usage. If you are using the information, then it is quite valuable. Otherwise, if it is just left in the digital dust, then it could be just another worthless one. In fact, for most of the time, you will realize that you don’t use it at all.

Reading 1000 blog posts or articles a month on new and electrifying methods to make money blogging will never help if you still have to set up your first blog.

The right thing to do is to get rid of any information sources that only stack up. A good trick is to get your favorite blogs on RSS feeds where you can view at the posts together each day and settle on those that you think got more value.

Just pick not more than 10 articles for a day to browse and stick to them even if there are 50 more articles out there that have important information. Why? It is because you will never get anything accomplished if you instead devote your time and effort reading them all. In reality, you are just defeating purpose of having that information.

An even larger problem for information junkies is the appeal of a new and mostly hyped money making system or product that hits the online market.

You know what? There are a lot of people who already possessed the knowledge, skills  and tools needed to become truly effective and successful internet marketers but never get there all because they are spending more time and focus reading new eBooks and meditating on new systems instead of putting them in action.

Your rule for this should be plain. No matter if it is the best new product in the whole world or how cheap it is selling for the moment you must never buy or read it unless you are through with the one you are presently working on.

When we say finish, we mean more not just reading all books or watching all the videos. What I mean is entirely and absolutely finished – implementing all the techniques and tools the program you bought.

This is very vital because far too many people will easily get animated about a new program, purchase it and then find later that they do not like the way it works or maybe they find another new program to get excited anew.

And so people are jumping from one program to the next without first getting successful in the first one they got into. While this is a very common problem, I believe that I should get my money’s value out of something. You don’t have to be wasting your money and time by becoming another program junkie.

The solution to information overload is to merely forget that information exists at all. I always believe in continuous reading and learning but I don’t suppose it means spending hours and hours a day digging and looking for new techniques you will never implement anyway.

Let’s learn and implement what we learned without going into information overload!

We all know that majority of online marketers are very much hungry for success and earning substantial amount of money while working at home. Some are planning to eventually let go of their other job and go full-time doing internet marketing.

But we know that reality bites. And so majority of those starry-eyed fellows will end up frustrated and discouraged because they remained desperate and still hungry even after months of trying all they could. After buying all the “hot” guru info-products and spending months, most online marketers have nothing to show as proof that they already arrive for good!

With all the hypes, exaggerations and lies floating all over the net, it is difficult to ascertain if what you are doing is really the way to success. And so people who eagerly start their online journey will realize later that they are just duped out of their money and trust.

I hope that you learn something of the above reasons for online failure. It is imperative that we will really be careful on what we are doing online and always safeguard your hard-earned money and don’t rely on anybody at all times unless that person already earned your whole trust.

Use PLR For Profits

In most probability, if you are involved in internet marketing adventure, you’ve already encountered PLR or private label rights materials. A PLR could be e-book, article, newsletter or even software. It’s generally cheap, it’s bought in mass, and it helps supply the substantial content source you need for your sites. But the question is: how can you actually turn those cheap and simple articles and eBooks into profits? Below are some of the best ways.

First thing first: PLR are not original content. The first thing to remember is that PLR is never original. It doesn’t have the same inherent value as that of a unique and original content. In most cases, you have other marketers who already published the same materials in myriad of sites. This makes PLR less valuable on its own virtues. However, you can use it in many others ways.

One, you can published PLR as is in many other sites or ways. PLR is good for email newsletters that need new content regularly. For example, if you are maintaining tens of lists, it would be impossible to create that much content consistently. PLR can be your solution.

You can also publish PLR content to your blog. Though, this is not advisable if you’re gunning for organic search rankings as most likely Google will view it as duplicate content. However, if you’re using a Pay Per Click campaign and just want a landing page content, it is okay.

Repurposing the PLR. Another good for using PLR is to repurpose it. Please notice that I did not use the word “rewrite.”  It is because you don’t have to — especially if it’s not going into search engine listings. A great way to do it is to take a set of 10 PLR articles on a niche topic and put them together into a free report. Maybe you have to write some transitions and a good introduction. Rather than pay $100 to have a report done in Elance, you can spend $10 for a bunch of articles on the same niche topic.

Now, if you want to rewrite, you can take a PLR article and rewrite it to about 30-50% level making it as a unique — something which a good writer can easily do for a lower rate compared to a full article. After you have made the PLR unique, it can now be posted in different article directories, post in blogs for search rankings, or just redistributed on your websites.

Making info products using PLR. A trick that many product sellers use for making bonuses and free content is taking a PLR eBook (with rewriting and editing rights) and modify it enough to declare the copyright. Note that some PLR content is in subpar quality compared to a real one.  It just takes very small work to edit it, reformat it, affix screenshots and rewrite 30% of its content. Once you’ve accomplish that, you now have a more viable and valuable product ready for distribution in building your subscriber list for some profit-making later.
